Vaughn Z. Korbin received a BA in Theater and Film from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) in 1988, and a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School (Minneapolis, MN) in 1997. He has been licensed to practice law in California since 1997. He practices exclusively family law, and has been certified as a specialist in family law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.

He has specific training in both mediation (Intensive Mediation Training Program with Gary Friedman at the Center for Mediation In Law 2003) and trial skills (American Bar Association Family Law Trial Advocacy Instititute 2005). He is a contributing author to California Domestic Partnerships, published by Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), and is an active participant in the alternative families brain trust group at the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

Mr. Korbin's non-legal interests include cooking and cycling.
